February 2010 Old news now but the William VI no longer sells Thai food - this is a terrible shame.

June 24th The Village re-opens
May 25th 2009 The Village pub closes for renovation - a new menu is promised upon re-opening Work is expected to be complete within six weeks. Due to re-open 17th June 2009
May 2009 The castle has been sold and is currently undergoing renovation work - We wait with baited breath!
April 2009 It has become apparent that The Castle has closed. We believe this is due to a downturn in custom and It now joins the rather sad statistic of 27 pubs closing in the UK every week (that's four a day!). For more details about the demise of our pub culture please refer to the links below.

Just
to let you know, there is a new coffee shop opened in the High Street,
called Ricco's. It
is really lovely, done out in 1930's style. Just like you see in
Italy. At the moment they sell coffee & cakes, but you can also
buy coffee beans, or freshly ground coffee and the coffee is
delicious. Really worth a try.
Oh
yes, they are open seven days a week, until 10pm.

November 10th 2008 The Queens Arms (Orford Road) has closed it's doors to trade and rumour has it that the brewery are in negotiations to pass the lease on. If you have any other information please let us know.
