In reading reviews for restaurants in E17
I was appauled to see that a restaurant, my personal favourite was not
listed among them. The Raja (224 High Street, Walthamstow, London E17
7JH) in my opinion is the best Indian restaurant in E17. I love my
Indian cuisine and have eaten it in many places including Brick Lane
but I have developed a certain loyalty to the Raja. It is so
reasonably priced with special 'gourmet nights' on Tuesdays and
Wednesdays where you can get; a starter, Main dish, side dish, Rice
and naan of your choice for only £8.95! The staff there are extremely
friendly as it is a famliy run restaurant! I went there with friends
for my birthday and they gave us a complementary bottle of wine and
beer! The menu is very diverse but my personal favourite is to order a
chicken korma and peshwari naan! I have tried it in other Indian
restaurants but it is never as good as the Raja! I think it is wrong
that it has not as yet been acknowledged!
