The Corner Coffee Shop used to be a rather grimy bakery-cum-sandwich shop until the present owners decided to turn it into a full-on greasy spoon serving all-day breakfasts and other café fodder from 7am till 4pm. The exterior has been given a very dramatic makeover and the tangerine fascia positively glows as you approach the corner of Fulbourne and Forest Road. The newly refurbished interior is clean and bright and service is swift and friendly.
There are six choices of breakfast including a vegetarian option, or you can 'make your own' from a long list of greasy ingredients. Actually the food is rather good and not too greasy and the portions are huge and superb value. The standard breakfast - egg, sausage, bacon (three rashers), chips and beans, two slices of toast (white or brown) and a very nice cup of coffee came to £3.90! What more could you ask? Give the Corner Café a try but make sure you're more than peckish!
